Sometimes I watch tv in the afternoons when I am doing laundry or cleaning, Bailey is napping, and Emily is supposed to be having quiet time. She almost never stays in her room and usually comes out to see what I am up to. The other day she came out and happened to see a commercial for Lindor Truffles. She watched for a few seconds, and then said, “Mommy, what kind of chocolates are those?” I replied, “Truffles.” She said, “Why is the chocolate in trouble?”
Every morning when Bailey wakes up, the first thing she wants to do is watch tv. She thinks Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is on (and sometimes it is, but it’s usually too early for that show when she wakes up), and she always says, “Mitt Mouse, Mama. Mitt Mouse.” Or she asks for a movie: “DD, Mama?”
The other day Emily came running out of Bailey’s room with a container of antibacterial wipes and says, “Mom! Can I clean all the doorknobs?” LOL! I was like, “Sure!”
Bailey is really beginning to master the art of the conversation and using good manners. She understands when “thank you” is appropriate, and whether you are supposed to say it to her, or she is supposed to say it to you, she always says, “Dank-doo!” My favorite time is when I change her diaper and she says, “Dank-doo, Mama!” She also says it when delivering Emmy’s cup to her, letting the dog out, being served dinner, you name it! It is too cute!
We went to the zoo today and when we got to the sheep, I said, “Look at the sheep, Bailey!” Bailey said, “Moooooo!” I said, “No, sheep don’t moo. Sheep say ‘baaaaa.’” Bailey said, “aaaaaaaaa.” Then, on our way out, Emmy said, “Mommy, I had a good, fun day at the zoo today, seeing all the ‘aminals.’” :)
